How To Use The App Suite
EnduroBro, EnduroCrew and EnduroRacer
EnduroBro, EnduroCrew and EnduroRacer
1. Overview & Prerequisites
Overview:
The Enduro app suite is designed to streamline every aspect of hosting an enduro race.
EnduroBro: Acts as the Race Director Hub to create races, manage registration, record stage times, and generate live results.
EnduroCrew: Empowers event staff to record stage times in the field (even offline) and sync them to the central server.
EnduroRacer: Provides event staff with a backup timing tool (using bib numbers) and racers with a QR code scanner to view live results.
Prerequisites:
Subscription: Ensure you have an active subscription to access the full features in EnduroBro.
User Accounts: Create accounts for race directors and event crew.
Device Setup: Install the respective apps on your devices and sign in using your credentials.
Internet Connectivity: While offline functionality exists, initial data upload and racer registration require an internet connection.
Google Sheet Integration (Optional): Prepare a registration form if you prefer to bulk-import racers via CSV file (instructions on website).
2. Setting Up the Race with EnduroBro (Race Director Hub)
A. Login & Subscription Check
Launch EnduroBro.
Sign In:
Enter your credentials.
Subscription Validation:
The app checks for an active subscription. If valid, you can proceed; otherwise, follow the in‑app prompts to subscribe or use a sandbox account for testing.
B. Creating a Race
Choose Race Type:
Standard Enduro: Each stage time is recorded and the final score is the sum of all stages.
Best-of-Three: Racers can take up to three laps per stage; the best lap time counts.
Configure Race Settings:
Stages: Set the number of stages (from 1 up to 100).
C. Adding Racers
Manual Entry:
Add racers one by one, entering their name, bib number, gender, class, and age group.
Google Sheet Integration:
Upload a CSV file generated from your Google Sheet.
Racers can select their gender, class, and age group via your custom form, and EnduroBro will auto-populate the racer list (with optional auto-assigned bib numbers).
D. Sharing the Race with Event Staff
Invite Crew:
From the Share Race screen, enter the email addresses of your event crew.
The race will populate in the EnduroCrew app on their Race List.
Synchronization:
Once the crew selects your race, their devices will be loaded with the full racer list and stage information.
E. Recording Stage Times & Live Results
Recording Stage Times:
As stages progress, use EnduroBro and/or EnduroCrew to record each stage’s start and finish times.
If internet connectivity is lost, times are stored locally and synced once the connection is restored.
Live Results:
The app automatically updates final race results across all connected devices.
A QR code can be generated for the results, which is perfect for on-site display or sharing. Racers can scan the QR code with EnduroRacer to view live results.
3. Recording Stage Times with EnduroCrew (Event Crew Timing)
A. Logging In & Loading the Race
Launch EnduroCrew on a Crew Device.
Sign In:
Use your event staff credentials.
Load the Race:
The crew device downloads the current race details (racer list, stages, etc.) from EnduroBro.
Confirm that all details match those set in EnduroBro.
B. Recording Stage Times
Recording Process:
When a racer starts a stage, record the start time using the app.
Record the finish time once the stage is completed.
Offline Capability:
If you lose connectivity in the field, the app continues to record stage times.
Once a connection is re-established, the data automatically syncs with EnduroBro.
Reviewing & Sharing:
The crew can view live updated results and even display the QR code if needed.
4. Using EnduroRacer (Backup Timing & Live Results for Racers)
Viewing Live Results
QR Code Scanning:
Racers can scan the QR code generated by EnduroBro to view live race results.
When you close the results view, you will be prompted to save and name the race. By doing so, you can easily access the results any time without requiring a QR code again.
This feature allows racers to stay informed about their standings and compare times in real time.
5. Integration & Final Considerations
A. Data Synchronization
All stage time data recorded in EnduroBro and EnduroCrew is sent to a central server.
Real-time updates ensure that every device displays the most current results.
Offline data is cached and automatically uploaded once connectivity is available.
B. During the Race
Coordination:
Ensure that race directors (using EnduroBro) and event crew (using EnduroCrew) maintain communication.
Backup Timing:
We encourage race directors to use EnduroRacer as an additional layer of timing backup.
Live Updates:
Use the QR code generated from EnduroBro for on-site display (ie: at the end of each stage), keeping everyone up to date on stage times.
C. Post-Race
Results Verification:
Once the race is complete, verify that all stage times have been accurately recorded and synced. Any missing times in EnduroBro can be double checked with EnduroRacer (if used for backup timing) and manually added to the printed final results. The redundancy built into EnduroBro should result in no missing results. If you press a start or finish button you will have a result.
Awards & Ceremonies:
Filter results by class, print them, and use them during awards ceremonies.
6. Troubleshooting Tips
Connectivity Issues:
Always verify that your devices have a stable internet connection before the race starts, and test offline data caching.
Data Discrepancies:
Cross-check racer registration and stage times between EnduroBro and EnduroCrew if discrepancies arise.
User Support:
Ensure that event crew are trained on using EnduroCrew.
